I love to pair masa cakes with a big salad. Feel free to top your Masa Cakes with whatever you like. I mashed some back beans from a can and added some cheese sauce then heated it up, super easy and delicious!

Let’s Cook!

  • Mix together all of your ingredients.
  • Separate your masa dough into two pieces. Roll half of your dough into a ball. Place the dough ball between two pieces of parchment paper and press it so it’s about 1/8″ flat.
  • Add a little oil into the pan so it doesn’t stick and place the flattened dough in the pan. Approximately 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • Remove from the pan when slightly browned. Repeat for the next masa cake.
  • I top mine with refried beans, salsa, and chives.

  • 1/3 cup plus 2 TBSP of water

  • 1/2 tsp chopped garlic
